Zentra Group has officially become an accredited Real Living Wage Employer. This milestone demonstrates our ongoing commitment to ensuring all employees earn a fair wage that truly reflects the cost of living.
Unlike the government’s National Living Wage, the real Living Wage is an independently calculated hourly rate that considers the actual costs of living, such as housing, food, and other essentials. Announced annually by the Living Wage Foundation during Living Wage Week, the current rate is set at £12 per hour across the UK, with a higher rate of £13.15 in London due to the elevated costs of living in the capital.
Why the Real Living Wage Matters
We believe that a hard day’s work deserves fair compensation. That’s why we, along with nearly 14,000 other organisations, have voluntarily chosen to pay the real Living Wage, which exceeds the government’s minimum requirement. This move isn’t just for our direct employees — it extends to all third-party contracted staff as well. From cleaners to other essential service providers, everyone working with us now earns the real Living Wage.
“This step ensures that we support our employees and their families, providing them with a wage they can live on, not just survive on. We’re proud of this commitment and excited to share the positive impact it will have across the team.“
