Zentra Group Achieves Living Pension Accreditation

We’re delighted to share that Zentra Group is now an accredited Living Pension Employer, making us one of a small group of organisations in the UK to hold all three major accreditations: Real Living Wage, Living Hours, and Living Pension.

This latest milestone demonstrates our commitment not only to supporting colleagues today through fair pay and secure working hours, but also to helping them build a stable and dignified future in retirement.

What the Living Pension Means

The Living Pension is a voluntary savings target set by the Living Wage Foundation for employers who want to go further in supporting their workforce. It helps employees, particularly those on lower pay, to build a pension pot that will cover everyday needs later in life.

Under the scheme:

  • The savings target is set at 12% of a full-time Living Wage worker’s salary, with at least 7% contributed by the employer.
  • Employers can also meet the standard by contributing towards a cash amount of £2,950 per year, of which at least £1,720 comes from the employer.
  • This builds on the government’s auto-enrolment system, where employers are only required to contribute 3%.

By signing up to Living Pension, Zentra Group is raising the standard for workplace pensions and helping our colleagues save enough to live with dignity in retirement.

Building on Our Commitments

We first became an accredited Real Living Wage Employer in 2024, ensuring all employees and contracted staff are paid fairly according to the actual cost of living. In 2025, we achieved Living Hours accreditation, guaranteeing fair contracts, a minimum of 16 hours per week, and proper notice for shifts.

Now, with Living Pension accreditation, we’re completing the full set of Living Wage Foundation standards — ensuring fairness, security, and dignity at every stage of working life.

Katherine Chapman, Director of the Living Wage Foundation, said:

“We are delighted that Zentra Group has signed up as a Living Pension employer, providing stability and security for their workers now and in the future. Over the last ten years the Living Wage campaign has grown in strength and numbers. The Living Pension builds on this by encouraging employers like Zentra Group to do more to help their workers build a pension pot that meets basic everyday needs in retirement.”

Looking Ahead

By achieving Living Pension accreditation, we are proud to lead the way in creating a fairer, more secure future for our people. Together with our Living Wage and Living Hours commitments, this accreditation sets the standard for what good work should look like — today, tomorrow, and into retirement.
